Do you have a passion to work with families in the community of South Auckland?

We are seeking someone who will walk alongside parents in their own home providing practical assistance by modelling household management, implementing routines and encouraging effective parenting techniques.

There is also the opportunity to facilitate parenting group programmes that will empower whanau with the knowledge and tools they need to become better parents. For this reason, previous experience in facilitation of reputable parenting group programmes such as Triple P, Circle of Security, Toolbox, Building Awesome Whanau etc is an advantage.

The successful candidate will have previous social services background with some parenting training and expertise. You will have a life story that will enable you to work with empathy, demonstrating your learned life skills and an understanding of child development.

Although part of a team, you need to be self-motivated, organised and confident in using computer programmes and relating to various cultural groups particularly Maori, Pacifica and Indian.

Contract type
