We are currently looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Store Manager to join our vibrant retail team at our busy Newmarket store.

Key Responsibilities:


• Support the Store Manager in all aspects of daily operations, team leadership, and performance management.


• Supervise and coach team members to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales results.


• Assist with recruiting, onboarding and training new team members.


• Monitor sales targets and KPIs, helping to break down goals into achievable daily tasks.


• Oversee stock control, replenishment and visual merchandising to ensure a vibrant and engaging store presentation.


• Handle escalated customer issues and ensure a positive resolution experience.


• Implement in-store marketing promotions and maintain brand standards.


• Conduct regular team performance check-ins and support development plans.


• Maintain compliance with company policies and workplace health and safety standards.


• Report store maintenance issues promptly to ensure a clean and safe environment for both staff and customers.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:


• 2+ years retail leadership experience, ideally in a high-volume or lifestyle/entertainment brand, leading 15-20 people


• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment


• A positive, proactive, and team-oriented attitude.


• Strong people skills with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire a diverse team.


• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.


• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.


• Experience in stock management, visual merchandising and roster coordination.


• A customer-first mindset with a passion for creating memorable experiences.


• Maturity and seasonality to drive business success


• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
