Healthvision is a lead provider of Specialist Homecare, Community Nursing and Rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand.

Healthvision is on the lookout for an Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist to provide care to our service users through various contracts with ACC and MOH.  You will join a multidisciplinary team that provides services across NZ.

We are looking to engage with an Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist to work in an independent contractor capacity and provide specialist clinical services to people in the community.

Job Location:  Christchurch, Canterbury

About the role:

As a community-based role, we are seeking someone who will share our passion for supporting kiritaki to remain in their homes and participate in their daily lives in the community.  The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic, passionate approach to community care and rehabilitation.

This role requires the completion of community-based multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes, such as training for independence programmes for ACC and other contracts, such as the ACC ISCC contract.

The available position is highly autonomous with the flexibility to work around your lifestyle.  This role will suit someone who thrives on challenges and creative opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have (candidate Pre-Requisites):

  • Most importantly, a passion for helping people in the community.
  • A minimum of two years of post-graduate experience.
  • You will have the ability to communicate with primary and secondary healthcare, and an understanding of ACC and MOH community contracts is an advantage.
  • You will have a working knowledge of neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation types.
  • NZ Registration with either the Physiotherapy Board or the Occupational Therapy Board
  • The ability to work autonomously with a strong solution focus
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Time management and relationship-building skills
  • Valid Full NZ Driver's license
  • The ability to travel around Christchurch
  • Must have the right to work legally in NZ
