PANGOTRA HOLDINGS (PALMERSTON NORTH) LIMITED is seeking a reliable and experienced Store Manager for our liquor store located in Porirua, Wellington. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, ensure smooth daily operations, and maintain high service standards.

Key Duties:

  • Undertaking the planning, managing and controlling the store operations

  • Implementing and managing the prices of products offered by the business.

  • Undertaking the promotion and marketing activities to uplift sales and to meet the set targets.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and create authentic experiences in the store.

  • Develop and implement operational procedures, including customer service objectives, operating plans, advertising strategies, purchase plans, store improvements and layouts.

  • Creating business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic and enhance profitability.

  • Determine and maintain appropriate levels of inventory and manage the inventory process.

  • Hiring, training, and overseeing net staff for the store

  • Maintain good client relations; resolve any complaints from customers, suppliers and employees.

  • Plan, manage, and monitor store budgets, including forecasting, expense control, and financial performance analysis to support sound operational decision-making and long- term business growth.

  • Setting the service standard to meet the business requirements.

  • Manage overall records and balance daily receipts and disbursements.

  • Verify and audit the invoices to catch and correct any errors and submit daily cash and sales records.

  • Assure that the cash register balances at the end of each shift and prepare the banking to update the financial records.

  • Developing effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.

  • Ensuring compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and occupational health and safety regulations.

You will be required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $35 per hour.

Other requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience is required.

  • The candidate should hold a Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ).

  • Duty Manager certificate is required for the role.

  • Available to work in a rostered shift.

  • Availability to work on weekends and public holiday.

  • Physically fit to be able to stand for longer hours.

  • Leadership skills.

  • Hardworking and passionate individual.

  • Multi-tasker.

  • Team-worker.
