THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you passionate about designing clever solutions that make things tick seamlessly behind the scenes? NZME is on the hunt for a proactive Automation Engineer to join our high-performing Product & Engineering team.
In this intermediate-level role, you'll harness the power of Microsoft's Power Platform, Copilot Studio, PowerShell and more to streamline and elevate operations across the business. Your work will touch nearly every part of the organisation, delivering meaningful automation that keeps us future-ready.
HOW YOU'LL DO IT:
You'll evaluate opportunities across NZME to implement automation and AI solutions, streamlining operations from identification to deployment and support.
- Evaluate and develop automation solutions across NZME, incorporating AI where it adds value
- Use tools like Power Automate, Power Apps, and PowerShell to build streamlined workflows
- Maintain, troubleshoot and optimise existing automations, ensuring system performance and reliability
- Partner with product managers, business owners and end users to solve challenges
- Champion data privacy, system integrity, and security in line with NZME's standards
- Keep documentation up-to-date and share insights, best practices, and new technologies with your peers
- Your role will be highly collaborative, requiring clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure that automation is not only technically sound but also aligned with business goals.
ABOUT YOU:
You're a curious, solution-oriented engineer with a knack for translating business needs into digital efficiencies. Ideally, you'll bring:
- A degree in Computer Science (or similar)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate), PowerShell, and Copilot Studio
- A working knowledge of AI solutions and Large Language Models, particularly within Microsoft's ecosystem
- Bonus: Python or C# development skills, plus relevant certifications in automation or AI
- An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and great communication skills
- A drive to keep learning and sharing ideas in a fast-moving tech space
WHAT'S ON OFFER:
In return, we offer the chance to work with the best in the business on award-winning brands and titles in an environment where we foster diversity and inclusion. At NZME our culture is second to none, where innovation and fun is the norm, and you're encouraged to bring your whole self to work.
Your workplace will be in central Auckland in a modern well-equipped office that boasts radio studios, newsroom hubs, multiple breakout areas and our popular iHeart Lounge that hosts a variety of internal events. You'll have access to a range of discounted products and services, development opportunities and be a key member of a high performing team.
Ready to automate the future with us?
Apply now and bring your expertise to a role that shapes how NZME works - smarter, faster and more connected.
