On a daily basis, the successful applicant will be working alongside our stonemasons team on various construction sites. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints to decide on dimensions and installation process

• Determine the materials and equipment needed for the project

• Cut, shape, and smoothen rock/stone materials using abrasive saw and power grinders

• Construct and install prefabricated stone carvings/masonry units for buildings and interior fittings

• Set and verify the vertical and horizontal alignment of structures with the aid of levels and plumb bob

• Lay and align stones according to set construction plans and specifications

• Position construction forms or mould along the guidelines of walls

• Apply and spread mortar on slabs/surfaces using a trowel

• Clean the surface of marble/stone structures using sponge, brush, water or chemical solution

• Smooth and polish stones and concrete

• Replace defective or missing stones on walls and structures

• Participate with keeping all work environments clean, orderly, and safe

• Must comply with company quality requirements

Although onsite training will be provided, the successful applicant must have one of the following:

• Have a relevant NZ Register Level 4 qualification, or equivalent; OR

• Have at least 2 years' work experience in the same industry/field
