About the role

We're looking for a friendly and professional Medical Receptionist to join our well-supported Reception and Administration team.

This is a part-time position (24–32 hours per week) with the flexibility to increase hours during peak periods or as business needs arise. You'll also be required to work some weekends (around 1 in 4) and public holidays on a rostered basis.

As a key member of our front desk team, you'll be the first point of contact for patients — providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service to patients and visitors
  • Answering calls and managing appointments efficiently
  • Accurately entering patient details into our management system
  • Completing administrative tasks and responding to patient enquiries
  • Processing payments and reconciling daily transactions

About You

To succeed in this role, you will:

  • Have a strong customer service focus and well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Be able to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Possess a sound working knowledge of office systems, including the Microsoft Office suite, email, scanning, and photocopying.
  • (Preferably, but not essential) Have experience using Medtech 32 or Medtech Evolution.
  • Share our commitment to achieving health equity for our patients and community.
  • Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Have current eligibility to work in New Zealand (applications requiring sponsorship cannot be accepted).
