Job Opportunity: Timber Telesales & Sales Support

Location: Whangarei

Hours: Full-time, 44 hours per week

Mon-Thurs 7.30am-5pm & Fri 7.30pm-4pm

BBS Timbers is a leading supplier of premium timber speciality products in New Zealand, serving a wide range of customers in the construction, architecture, joinery, and boat-building sectors. Established for over 40 years, we have built a strong reputation for delivering quality products and service.  Our Head Office, located in Whangarei, is the heart of our operation, and we are looking for a key person to support our sales team.

The Role

We are looking for someone to join our team to support our customers and grow sales.  You will be responsible for building customer networks in Northland, answering customer enquiries, organising orders from our sales team across the country and ensuring orders are completed on time and prepared for dispatch to our customers.  Critical to your success will be your attention to detail, strong organisation skills and ability to build strong relationships.

A drug test prior to employment will be required.

Key Responsibilities

· Support our existing customer base by answering incoming customer enquiries, respond to website enquiries, provide quotes and coordinate orders.

· Proactively contact new customers and merchants in the region to build long lasting relationships and grow sales.

· Support the wider sales team by ensuring all orders are entered into the system and completed in a timely manner.

· Track orders and keep customers and sales representatives informed of their order status as they move through the various stages of production.

What We're Looking For

· Knowledge of imported specialty timber products and building materials (advantageous).

· Some sales experience (advantageous).

· Computer literate with strong excel skills.

· Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

· A willingness to learn.

· Good communication skills.

· Punctual, honest and reliable.
