We're looking for an enthusiastic Educator & Enviroschools Facilitator to lead environmental learning across our region - working with schools, kura, ECEs, local businesses and our wider community to inspire action, reduce waste, and support long-term environmental wellbeing.

Mō te tūranga | About the position

In this role, you'll guide schools on their Enviroschools journey, build strong relationships with teachers and students, and bring environmental projects to life. You'll also design and deliver engaging waste education programmes that empower our community to make meaningful, lasting change.

You'll be a natural connector - someone who can influence, educate, and motivate tamariki, kaiako, community groups, and local partners.

If you're passionate about sustainability, confident facilitating groups, and keen to get stuck into hands-on environmental mahi, this role is for you.

  • Experience in waste minimisation, environmental education, or teaching
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills
  • Ability to build partnerships across schools and community groups
  • A commitment to great environmental outcomes
  • Full NZ driver's licence
