SRM Limited is seeking a Store Manager to oversee the operations of its liquor store in the Wellington region. The ideal candidate will be success-focused, reliable, and capable of managing day-to-day store activities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and control all aspects of store operations.
  • Implement and manage the pricing strategies for products offered by the business.
  • Execute promotional and marketing activities to boost sales and achieve targets.
  • Develop and implement procedures for customer service, operations, advertising, purchasing, and store layout improvements.
  • Formulate strategies to attract new customers, increase store traffic, and enhance profitability.
  • Determine and maintain appropriate inventory levels and oversee the inventory management process.
  • Hire, train, and supervise other staff members.
  • Plan, manage, and monitor store budgets, including forecasting, expense control, and financial performance analysis to support sound operational decision-making and long-term business growth.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees; resolve any complaints or issues.
  • Establish and maintain service standards to meet business requirements.
  • Manage records, balance daily receipts and disbursements, and ensure the cash register balances at the end of each shift.
  • Verify and audit invoices to correct errors and submit daily cash and sales records.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and create memorable in-store experiences.
  • Prepare banking updates and ensure financial records are up to date.
  • Develop effective marketing strategies to ensure business profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012 and occupational health and safety regulations.

Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $28 to $34 per hour based on your skills and experience.

Other Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience, preferably in the liquor industry.
  • A Duty Manager's Certificate is required; however, the business is willing to support the selected candidate in obtaining this if they do not already hold one.
  • You should be available to work on weekends.
  • You should be available to work till 10 pm.
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
  • Strong Leadership skills and Interpersonal skills
  • You should be a team worker.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00 – $34.00 per hour
