Transform data into impact as a Senior Fabric Data Engineer. You'll architect and deliver advanced data solutions that unlock strategic insights and improve health outcomes across Aotearoa. You'll design resilient Microsoft Fabric pipelines, craft seamless API integrations, and build dynamic dashboards that tell a story.

This role is about turning ideas into scalable solutions, championing smarter processes, and ensuring every project meets the highest standards of governance and cultural integrity.

Ngā haepapa matua | Key responsibilities

  • Design and deliver advanced data solutions using Microsoft Fabric and API integrations.
  • Unify data and automate workflows to enable timely, data-driven decisions.
  • Lead technical design sessions and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Develop dynamic dashboards with embedded clinical quality indicators.
  • Champion data governance and privacy compliance, including the Health Information Privacy Code.

Mōu ake | About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Health Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years' experience in data-focused roles, ideally in health or complex environments.
  • Technical expertise in Microsoft Fabric, API development, Power BI, and automation tools, plus strong skills in PySpark, SQL, RESTful APIs, and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Deep knowledge of data governance, ethics, and privacy regulations, including the Health Information Privacy Code.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with adaptability under pressure and a commitment to continuous growth.
