Job Opportunity: Delivery Driver (Class 2)

Are you an experienced Class 2 driver with a clean licence and a great attitude? We're looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team at Beds4U Christchurch This full-time role involves travelling across South Island, delivering beds and furniture to our customers.

What You'll Do:

  • Operate and maintain a Class 2 truck with care, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time
  • Plan and manage your delivery routes across South Island for efficiency, meeting customer expectations and time frames
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections on the truck, checking for any maintenance needs or safety issues
  • Help the Distribution Centre (DC) team with loading and unloading trucks, ensuring all items are handled carefully and secured properly
  • Safely load and unload furniture and beds at delivery points, ensuring all items are damage-free during transport
  • Work with the dispatch team to receive route updates, delivery instructions, and provide delivery status

What We're Looking For:

  • At least 1 year of Class 2 truck driving experience
  • A full, clean Class 2 driver's licence
  • Good organisational skills and basic computer know-how
  • Strong awareness of road safety regulations and vehicle operation
  • Ability to keep track of travel logs, fuel records, and daily delivery paperwork
  • Ability to work well with our customers and suppliers
  • Willingness to follow instructions and take initiative when needed

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted Class 2 driver's licence with a clean record
  • NZ resident or Citizen

Pay Rate: $25 - $27 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Hours: 40-60 per week as per the roster

For all overnight trips, accommodation and food allowance will be provided as per the company's policy
