We have an exciting role for an organised, analytical and solution focused person to join our Rail Operations team.
About the role
The role of the Rail Network Advisor is to provide high quality levels of service to our customers, by focussing on monitoring, reporting and planning with our Network provider and our rail operator; getting involved in specific projects and ensuring all planned disruption are planned with minimal impact to our services and customers; and supporting our diversity and inclusion, te reo Māori and tikanga policies.
You will:
- Be a champion for public transport and work alongside public transport operators and KiwiRail.
- Work across a range of teams - so fast thinking and strong communication is essential.
Skills and experience required:
- A willingness to look at life through different lenses.
- A passion for Public Transport and customer service.
- Excellent organisational skills and enjoy a challenge.
- Have clear and confident communication skills and be able to relate and engage with a diverse range of people.
- Be inquisitive, solutions focused and have strong influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including the interrogation of data.
- Proven understanding of back-office and administrative database systems; and competence in the Microsoft suite of applications.
- Knowledge and experience of KiwiRail planning processes would be an advantage.

The remuneration for this position, inclusive of all benefits, is $83,998 to $125,997, with a midpoint of $104,998. Starting remuneration will depend on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
