Trolley Assistant

We currently have a part time positions for a Trolley Assistant to join our team at PAK'nSAVE Tamatea.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position involves working in and around a large PAK'nSAVE Store. You will be the first and last staff member a customer sees when they arrive and leave the store, so it is really important that you are friendly, approachable and helpful. If being active is important to you, this could be an ideal role as it involves collecting trolleys from our large carpark and returning them to the front of the store so there are always plenty of trolleys available for our customers. You will cover a lot of ground every shift

We have one part-time role available working 19 hours per week on the following roster:

• Monday 3:15pm - 9:15pm
• Friday 3:15pm - 9:15pm
• Saturday 11:30am - 8pm

This role looks after the closing of our trolleys on these evenings which involves working on your own locking up the trolleys and working to our store closing processes. Please note due to the hours of work we are unable to consider high school students for this role.

Responsibilities include:

• Collecting trolleys and ensuring the trolley bays are stocked at all times.
• Keeping trolleys clean and free from rubbish.
• Helping customers to their vehicles with their groceries if required.
• Completing daily fuel site checks, ensuring the immediate surrounds of the store including the car park are kept tidy.
• Interacting positively with customers at all times.

ABOUT YOU

We invite applicants that are highly motivated, friendly with a great team attitude. We are looking for someone with proven reliability and loads of enthusiasm that may be interested in working their way into our Checkouts as well

You must:

• Be physically able to push heavy trolleys for several hours per day, and in all weather conditions (the supermarket is busy regardless of whether it is hot, cold or wet outside)
• Have a high level of maturity
• Be reliable
• Have the ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Be customer focused
• Have the rights to work in New Zealand
