Join Tunnicliffe Builders Ltd, a well-established and respected construction company based in Masterton, delivering high-quality residential and light commercial projects across the Wellington region.

We're looking for an experienced Leading Hand to help lead our crew and ensure every project is completed to the highest standard. This is a full-time, hands-on leadership role offering variety, autonomy, and the chance to work on a wide range of builds - from new homes to renovations and roofing projects.

What you'll be doing:

• Supervising and coordinating daily site operations to ensure quality, safety, and timelines are met
• Leading and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and productive site culture
• Reading and interpreting building plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Working closely with Project Managers, Architects, and Clients to deliver outstanding results
• Problem-solving on site and maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders
• Managing materials, timesheets, and progress reporting
• Ensuring strict compliance with health and safety standards

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Builder (LBP) with at least 5 years' industry experience
• Proven ability to lead and motivate construction teams
• Strong technical skills and sound understanding of NZ building codes and practices
• Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans
• Committed to quality workmanship, safety, and teamwork
