Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to play a strategic and impactful role in shaping how we deliver high-quality software across our engineering organisation. As the senior QA within our product squads, you will act as an testing authority, a technical partner to engineers, and a catalyst for improving quality practices across the full development lifecycle.
This role is ideal for a technically credible QA professional who thrives on collaboration, is passionate about shifting quality left, and is excited by the potential for AI-enhanced tooling to transform how we test—while maintaining a pragmatic, value-driven perspective.
You will guide risk analysis, strengthen automation practices, and coach teams to take full ownership of quality. If you value leadership through expertise, curiosity, and enabling others, this is the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Act as the Quality Expert Embedded in Engineering Squads
Serve as the senior QA representative across multiple squads, providing oversight and strategic direction on quality. Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality is embedded from the earliest stages of ideation to post-release monitoring. Champion a culture of quality ownership—guiding engineers toward building more testable, resilient systems.Lead Shift-Left Quality Transformation

Contribute to the architecture, design, and maintenance of automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers. Bring a balanced perspective—automating where it provides lasting value and relying on thoughtful manual techniques where they uncover deeper risk.Experiment with and Evaluate AI Testing Tooling
Explore emerging AI capabilities—test generation, coverage insights, exploratory testing aids—and identify meaningful, practical opportunities for adoption. Separate genuine value from hype, sharing insights and recommendations with the wider engineering organisation.Coach, Mentor & Elevate Quality Mindsets
Support engineers in building strong testing habits and understanding risk-driven quality principles. Mentor junior and intermediate QA team members in both technical skills and strategic thinking. Lead workshops, guide pairing sessions, and contribute to improving our overall QA maturity.Your Experience
5+ years of professional QA or Quality Engineering experience, including senior responsibilities influencing engineering-level quality improvements. Strong technical proficiency, including the ability to read and understand code (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, or similar), review PRs for testability and coverage, and engage meaningfully in engineering discussions. Proven experience implementing shift-left practices and empowering engineering teams to take greater ownership of quality. Advanced exploratory testing skills, able to uncover subtle, high-impact issues and articulate risks clearly. Deep experience architecting and maintaining automated test suites, with a pragmatic understanding of when automation creates value versus unnecessary complexity. Hands-on experience conducting risk analysis, shaping test strategies, and planning QA activities across complex systems. A coaching-oriented mindset, with experience mentoring engineers and QA colleagues to develop stronger testing and quality instincts. Curiosity and experience experimenting with AI or emerging QA tooling, paired with a critical, practical sense for where such tools genuinely help. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence without authority, working collaboratively across engineering, product, and design. Experience working in lean, agile environments, bringing structure to fast-paced delivery without introducing unnecessary overhead. Our culture is very important to us too, and we strongly believe in living out our core values:
