About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Dermatology, you will lead and deliver advanced nursing care for patients with complex dermatological needs across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Your role will involve autonomous clinical assessment, development of evidence-based treatment plans, collaboration with the wider multidisciplinary team, and providing expert nursing leadership in dermatology practice.

You will also contribute to service development, support quality improvement initiatives, and provide education and mentorship to nursing and medical colleagues to strengthen dermatology capability across Hawkes Bay.

About the Team/Service/ Location

Our Dermatology Service is a small, collaborative, and highly skilled team delivering specialist care to a diverse community across Hawkes Bay. You will be based at Hawkes Bay Hospital and work closely with colleagues across the regions health centres to ensure equitable access to dermatology expertise.

About you

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist Dermatology, you will bring:

Advanced clinical knowledge and experience in dermatology nursing

Demonstrated leadership capability and experience supporting service improvement

Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams

Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a valid APC
