Brookby Quarries Limited is one of Auckland's prime manufacturing quarries & we have the opportunity for an experienced, Maintenance Fitter / Welder to join our hardworking, enthusiastic Maintenance team at our quarry located in Brookby.

This position is for a full-time person, who has proven experience as a Mobile Plant Maintenance Fitter.  Must have a keen eye for detail, self-motivated, organised with relevant Trade Certification.  The successful applicant will be working within a team who oversee the day-to-day maintenance of all fixed and mobile crushing plants.

Main tasks of this role: -

· Main Plant pre-start inspections (early morning start)

· Minor repairs/replacements (rollers, wear plates, skirts etc)

· Scheduled preventative maintenance

· Servicing of the fixed and mobile Crushing Plants including greasing and oil changes

· Equipment condition monitoring

· Assisting the Maintenance Superintendent with major repairs and rebuilds

· Light fabrication work

· General building and pump maintenance

To be successful in this role you will possess the following qualifications, skills & experience: -

· A hands-on and proactive approach to maintenance of plant and equipment

· A full clean Car License

· Eligibility to work in New Zealand

· Relevant Trade Certification

· Ability to read & interpret technical manuals

· Reliable with good time management

· Pride in quality workmanship

· A positive can-do attitude with an eye for detail

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Is physically fit and able to manually handle items/parts.

· Ability to work in all conditions

· Demonstrates initiative

· A team player while also being able to work independently
