Deliverables/Purpose:

You'll drive the development of innovative serverless API solutions, leading backend development initiatives that enhance payment platforms and integration systems. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure high-quality software delivery aligned with business requirements whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence across diverse technology initiatives.

  • 4-month contract with immediate start available
  • Based on Auckland's North Shore

The skills and experience we need you to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in full stack development.
  • Proven experience working with AWS services.
  • Familiarity with database systems, both relational and non-relational.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue, React, Angular).
  • Experience with JavaScript runtimes (e.g., , , ).
  • Experience with Kotlin, iOS, Flutter, or knowledge of coding for these platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to write type-safe code in TypeScript.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with serverless frameworks other than AWS SAM (e.g., Serverless Framework, Azure Functions).
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., PagerDuty) and logging solutions (e.g., Datadog).
  • Understanding of DevOps practices, including Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and automated provisioning.
  • Exposure to designing, implementing, and maintaining microservices architectures.
