About the role
Success Group Limited is seeking experienced Asphalt Workers to join our team in the Bay of Plenty. This full-time position is an essential part of our Construction and Plant & Machinery Operators division, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of asphalt-related equipment and machinery.
What you'll be doing
- Operate asphalt equipment and machinery, such as pavers, rollers, and compactors, to lay and compact asphalt surfaces
- Assist in the preparation of surfaces for asphalt application, including tasks like sweeping, cleaning, and applying tack coats
- Monitor the quality of asphalt work and make adjustments as needed to ensure a high-quality finish
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on assigned equipment
- Adhere to all safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe work environment
- Collaborate with the wider construction team to complete projects on time and to the required standard
What we're looking for
- Experience operating asphalt equipment and machinery, such as pavers, rollers, and compactors
- Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and quality control standards
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions
- Valid driver's licence and experience operating heavy machinery
- Certification in relevant construction or plant operation qualifications would be an advantage
