About the Role

As a Packer / Retail Assistant, you'll play an essential role in ensuring our shop runs smoothly and looks great. You'll be responsible for packing, weighing, labelling and presenting high-quality poultry, seafood, and meat products — while keeping our front shop fully stocked, clean, and beautifully merchandised.

You'll also help maintain our high food safety standards and support the team to create an outstanding experience for our customers.

This is a part-time position (approx hours/week) with opportunities for additional hours during busy periods.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Retail Support

  • Provide exceptional, friendly customer service
  • Keep the retail front shop fully stocked and presented to the highest standard
  • Ensure correct stock rotation and remove out-of-date products

Packing & Product Handling

  • Accurately weigh, wrap, price, and label products
  • Maintain quality standards for handling, storage, temperature checks, and rotation
  • Receive inward goods, verify delivery dockets, and check stock temperatures

Health & Safety

  • Follow QM4L health and safety practices and all company policies
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment
  • Use safe manual handling techniques at all times eg. Lifting

General Duties

  • Organise and rotate stock in coolers and storage areas (FIFO)
  • Merchandise products following company procedures
  • Comply with all retail labelling laws
  • Assist the wider team as needed
