Enable New Zealand is a Crown-owned entity on a mission; to support disabled people and their whānau to live everyday lives in their communities. We do this by effectively managing access to equipment, modifications and information services for disabled people and their whānau on behalf of Disability Support Services (DSS) – Ministry of Social Development (MSD) and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC).

With our head office centrally located in Palmerston North, we deliver services to thousands of New Zealanders each year as Aotearoa's largest disability equipment provider. We welcome applicants from the region who would be available to be face-to-face in Palmerston North 3-days per week.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We are looking for an exceptional Procurement Advisor - General - Fixed Term to join our team in Palmerston North.

As a Procurement Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting Enable New Zealand's purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective, quality, and compliant acquisition of goods and services.

You'll contribute to the development and implementation of best practice procurement policies and processes and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value and enhance outcomes.

Ngā mahi haepapa | Role responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement processes including RFx documentation, contract negotiations, and alignment with NZ Government Procurement Rules.
• Provide expert advice and support on procurement, commercial, and contractual matters while identifying and managing procurement-related risks.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and uphold organisational values, including Health, Safety and Wellbeing practices and the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Complete RFx documentation, including managing release of documents to the markets, managing responses, chairing evaluation panels and drafting evaluation reports for recommendation.
• Administer Product Information Management (PIM) for assigned categories, ensuring accurate and up-to-date product data including pricing and SKU codes.
• Maintain procurement infrastructure including GETS documentation, procurement templates, and intranet/web content, while providing administrative support to the procurement team.
