Are you a passionate clinician, interested in developing your skills in a clinical team leader role that supports the growth of our community and vocational rehabilitation team?

ABI Rehabilitation's Wellington Community Service (based in Porirua) is looking for an allied health professional or nurse with community, neuro and vocational rehab experience and experience supporting a multi-disciplinary team. Experience in community-based rehab, vocational rehabilitation, and service development is necessary.

ABI Rehab is a national leader in the field of brain injury and community rehabilitation and is an accredited provider of community-based rehabilitation for clients with conditions such as TBI, Concussion, along with spinal and other complex injuries. Our inter-disciplinary team delivers community-based and vocational rehabilitation services across the Wellington region. We have a strong client and whānau focus and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi though the implementation of Te Hekenga-ā-ora to support equitable outcomes.

As a Team Leader, you will be part of an exciting time as we continue to grow and develop our Wellington service, while being well supported by ABI's other community teams around the motu. We are passionate about providing high quality evidence-based practice, a great team environment and collaborative work. You will be supported to develop the skills needed to excel in this role with ongoing training and mentoring from management and clinical leadership. ABI Rehabilitation offers competitive remuneration, including pay parity with public health care rates of pay.

Minimum Requirements For This Role

  • A minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience
  • NZ Registered Health Professional with Annual Practicing Certificate and Driver's License
  • Experience in Community, Neuro and Vocational rehabilitation
  • Excellent Communication, Time and People Management Skills
