We are looking for a Fixed Term Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Technology & Digital Solutions team in Christchurch for a period of 18 months. This role is focused on ensuring the stability and effectiveness of our ERP (SAP) in business-as-usual operations, while also contributing to system improvements and supporting our people across the business.

As Connetics transitions toward new platform (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and IBM Maximo), you will act as the key BAU SAP representative, ensuring business needs are met while liaising with the project teams. This is a hands-on, collaborative role where you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation and Orion Group to deliver real impact.

What you'll be doing

  • Providing expert support and administration of SAP, ensuring system reliability and continuity

  • Documenting business requirements and translating them into practical system solutions

  • Training and supporting SAP users across the organisation

  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains

  • Liaising with Business Central and Maximo project teams to represent BAU SAP needs

  • Supporting upgrades, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years' experience in a Business Systems Analyst (or similar ERP analyst) role Strong SAP experience across core modules (FI, PS, SD, PM, HCM/Payroll)

  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into system solutions

  • Excellent communication skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or IBM Maximo (desirable)

  • Knowledge of the electricity distribution industry (beneficial)
