Role overview: Mana College is seeking to appoint a passionate, well-organised administrator to coordinate sport in our College. The successful applicant will be a key member of our co-curricular team and will be responsible for the smooth running and organisation of Mana College sport from Years

Key Responsibilities will include:
  • Programme Management: Overseeing all school sports, ensuring a broad selection of codes are offered and effectively managed.
  • Coach & Volunteer Liaison: Recruiting, training, and supporting our dedicated team of coaches, managers, and parent volunteers.
  • Administration: Managing registrations, equipment, uniforms, fixtures, and transport for all sporting teams.
  • Budget Oversight: Working with the Business Manager to manage the annual sports budget and seek external funding/sponsorship.
  • Promotion & Communication: Promoting sports events, achievements, and opportunities across the school community (via newsletters, social media, assemblies, etc.).
  • Compliance: Ensuring all sports activities comply with school policies and relevant New Zealand Secondary Schools Sports Council (NZSSSC) regulations.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Proven experience in sports administration, coordination, or management, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, coaches, parents, and external organisations.
  • A strong understanding of the New Zealand secondary school sports system.
  • A current, clean driver's license and the legal right to work in New Zealand.
  • A genuine passion for fostering student participation, fairplay, and excellence.
