We deliver whānau-centred health services from our hubs in Whakatū, Wairau, and Motueka, as well as through mobile clinics and home visits. Mō tēnei tūranga mahi | About this role

We are seeking a Kaikōkiri Hinengaro to lead our mental health and addiction services in Wairau. This role provides clinical oversight, team leadership, and service coordination to ensure safe, effective, and culturally responsive care for whānau.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring a team of mental health and addiction kaimahi
  • Coordinating triage, referrals, and multidisciplinary hui
  • Ensuring culturally safe and clinically sound service delivery
  • Supporting whānau with lived experience to contribute to service design
  • Driving service improvements and integration across providers
  • Reporting, auditing, and maintaining high standards of documentation

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification and current registration as a mental health practitioner
  • Clinical knowledge of mental health conditions and interventions
  • Experience working within kaupapa Māori models and organisations
  • Proven leadership and team development skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence, communication, and ethical integrity
  • A commitment to continuous learning and a healthy lifestyle
  • A full driver's license and ability to use IT systems
