Picton, New Zealand Port Marlborough New Zealand Limited Full time NZ$30,000 - NZ$45,000 per year

As Marlborough's regional port, Port Marlborough (PMNZ) facilitates a wide range of shipping and marine activities, including Cook Strait ferry operations, bulk cargo exports, cruise and superyacht visits, aquaculture support, and vessel maintenance.

We have a clear vision: to lead the way as an environmentally restorative port, driving success for Marlborough. Our strategy is guided by five pillars – People, Planet, Prosperity, Partnerships, and Performance – which shape how we operate, grow, and create value for the region.

At Port Marlborough, we're currently recruiting for a Part-time Cleaner to jump onboard

Working alongside our Cleaning Team, you'll help deliver essential cleaning services across port and marina sites, supporting high standards in health, safety, and customer service.

This is a permanent role with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week, with potential to increase to 20–25, depending on team coverage and operational needs. Some tasks may fall outside standard daytime hours due to our 24/7 operations.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Local – Ideally based in Picton or within 30 minutes' drive of the Port
  • Capable – Cleaning or other relevant experience, with proven attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in NZ – Must hold a clean, full NZ driver's licence & (ideally) a First Aid Certificate
  • Physically fit – Able to pass a role-specific health testing
  • Flexible & reliable – Available for rostered shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Team player – Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
