We are on the lookout for a well organised, enthusiastic and self-motivated Business Analyst with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our Information Services team. This is a two-year fixed term position based at the South Taranaki District Council administration building and reports to the Business Analyst.

About the Role - The primary purpose of this role is to support the implementation of the new ERP system by identifying and defining improved business processes, while assisting staff to map and understand these changes as part of effective change management. You will ensure efficient, customer-focused service delivery through the analysis, design, and documentation of agreed processes, and create detailed business analyses that outline problems, opportunities, and solutions. Acting as a bridge between IT and the business, you will leverage data analytics to assess processes and drive informed decision-making.

Do you have what it takes? - The Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of a new ERP system configuration by identifying and analysing best practice processes, helping to facilitate solutions by identifying requirements, and analysing, designing and documenting business processes, applications and reporting tools.

About You - You are a talented team player with a bachelor's degree in a business field, such as general business, finance, management, or Computer and information science and engineering. You will have the maturity to work in an independent manner working effectively across teams, have a sound working knowledge in business process modeling and mapping, systems modeling, IT disciplines, methodologies and techniques. You are skilled in producing, analysing, and clearly documenting business needs for stakeholders and development teams, have well developed communication skills (both written and oral) and excellent computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. You will also have the ability to assess complex situations and propose innovative solutions aligned with business goals.

Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, therefore must have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work visa. In terms of residence class visa applications, priority will be given where the applicant is in New Zealand.

South Taranaki District Council is an Accredited Employer so if you're moving to the region, we can offer practical support and some financial assistance. This includes employer sponsorship for your visa application.

The salary range for this position is between $72,090pa and $80,100pa and the appointed starting level will be dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted candidates.
