Skin Institute is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Dermoscopist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality skin cancer services. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Performing full body skin checks and spot checks
  • Providing patient education and support regarding skincare, treatments, and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations
  • Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care and treatment plans
  • Participating in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with the latest advancements in dermatology
  • Adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring a safe clinical environment for both staff and patients

  • Proven experience in dermatology or general practice nursing
  • Proficiency in performing dermoscopy and skin cancer screening
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated knowledge of skin conditions and dermatological procedures
  • A keen eye for detail and strong observational skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning

Selection criteria:

Registered Nurse

A current Nursing Council of New Zealand Annual Practicing Certificate

Professional patient-centred care

Plenty of initiative and able to work in a collaborative team environment, this is a role that requires someone who can think about their team and have a wide view of what is happening in clinic and offsite, team collaboration is very important.
