In a nutshell

The Production Manager is the leader of the repair team and manages the workshop ensuring that all vehicles are repaired promptly to the highest quality standards and that the production targets are met.

This is achieved by the timely planning and co-ordination of activities with the Repair Technicians, carried out safely.

About the role

· Manage the production schedule of the repair team, preventing delays and maximising workshop efficiency

· Supervise and direct the repair staff in their duties

· Lead safety by example: creating a positive safety culture within the production team

· Ensure that repair quality is maintained and signoff repairs; ensuring no rework

· Keep up to date with technical information relating to repair methods, new equipment, and manufacturers specifications.

· Manage the maintenance and routine scheduling of servicing of equipment and management of breakdowns etc.

· Coordinate sublet repairs e.g. alignments, stripes, air bags and electronic

· Maintain KPI's within the required metrics

· Perform other similar or related work as assigned

About you

· Experience leading a repair team to achieve set key performance indicators (e.g. repair duration, average repair cost) for quality and productivity

· Trade qualification or equivalent certification with at least 5 years of motor vehicle repair experience

· Confident using IT and cloud-based computer systems

· Experience in leading health and safety in collision repair
