About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Plate Mounter in our Production team in Christchurch. This permanent full-time role offers the chance to work with modern print technology in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. You'll play a key part in keeping production running smoothly and delivering high-quality labels to our customers.

Your duties

  • Prepare, mount, and deliver printing plates with precision to ensure smooth and efficient press operations.
  • Perform quality checks and maintain plate integrity throughout the production process.
  • Manage plate inventory - reorder, receive, and store plates, screens, and embossers as required.
  • Support the issuing and return of inks, dies, and other press materials when needed.
  • Keep work areas and equipment clean, safe, and compliant with company standards and operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with production, technical, and pre-press teams to meet schedules and maintain high-quality output.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety and quality culture.

About You

  • Trade-qualified or equivalent experience in print production or pre-press operations.
  • Proven experience handling printing plates, dies, and related press equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, accurate work.
  • Ability to follow procedures, maintain records, and adhere to health & safety standards.
  • Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Physically capable of performing manual handling tasks as required.
  • Eligible to work in New Zealand.
