Harewood Golf Club – Christchurch

Harewood Golf Club is seeking a motivated and skilled 2IC Senior Greenkeeper to join our team to support the Superintendent to ensure the maintenance, conservation, and enhancement of the golf course, driving range, club grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard to provide a memorable and social visitor experience.

Ideally this role has a strong focus on machinery operation and maintenance and will suit someone with practical experience in turf care equipment, as well as a passion for maintaining high-quality playing surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct staff as and when instructed by the Superintendent including during their absence whilst on leave or attending courses.
  • Ensure the upkeep of all course, driving range, gardens and property maintenance including course irrigation.
  • Operation of a wide range of turf care machinery (mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, etc.)
  • Assisting with daily course maintenance and presentation
  • Machinery maintenance ensuring safe operational repairs to all machinery.
  • Supporting the course team in delivering high standards across the golf club

About You:

  • Experience with turf care machinery
  • Previous greenkeeping, turf, or machinery background preferred, but training can be provided
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safe work practices
  • Must be able to work weekends
