Job type: Full-time / part-time / fixed term / flexible.

We are seeking an experienced automotive refinisher/panel & paint all-rounder to join our classic car restoration team Knowledge of fibreglass or composites would be a benefit.

We primarily restore classic Lotus and low-volume vehicles, as well as day-to-day company vehicles. You'll get a taste of a bit of everything here not to mention a small team environment to work alongside.

We are looking for a specialist to take ownership of the body repair and preparation for wanting workflow.

We are based in Onehunga.

In this role, you will be:

  • Assessing panel fit and alignment, and liaising with the Manager to provide

the best options to repair vehicles to a high standard.

  • Preparation of the vehicle for finishing stages, including sanding down, primer

and filler when required.

  • Utilising your skill set and knowledge to help get the vehicles back into

shape.

  • Producing or assisting in the production of moulds for small body panels.

  • Producing or assisting in making moulds for small custom parts.

  • Collaborate with the fibreglass and mechanical teams to ensure a smooth

and happy work environment.

  • Support the team around you and contribute to the effective operations of

the workshop.

  • Maintain work-related equipment and ensure the work space is kept

clean and safe.

  • Follow H&S procedures.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Current full NZ Driver's License with the ability to drive a manual preferred.

  • At least 1-3 years' experience in automotive preparation or a relevant trade.

  • Experience working in an automotive workshop.

  • Physically fit and reliable.

  • Work independently in a small team.
