One of our current superstar legal secretaries is attending university in February new candidate for the role would ideally start with the firm in January 2026 to work alongside and hand over prior to her departure.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Legal Secretary at The Legal Team, position commencing January 2026. The Legal Secretary will be responsible for working with their team to assist with file management, legal document preparation, assisting in conveyancing transactions, utilising clerical skills, managing diaries, and providing administrative support to two directors.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience as a Legal Secretary in a practice which involves conveyancing, estate work, wills, trusts and most aspects of general practice private client work
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Proficient in Diary Management
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of conveyancing procedures and regulations
• Experience with LINZ, Webforms, dictation and Microsoft Office
• Experience with Actionstep practice management system a plus
