Fulton Hogan is proud to be working with our Alliance partners, HEB, Aurecon and Tonkin & Taylor delivering the O Mahurangi (Penlink) project on behalf of Waka Kotahi (NZ Transport Agency). O Mahurangi will form a vital transport link in north Auckland as more people live and work in Silverdale, Whangaparāoa and the Hibiscus Coast. The new two-lane road and shared walking and cycling path will provide improved travel times between Whangaparāoa and wider Auckland.

Deliver an iconic extradosed bridge, the first of its kind in New Zealand. This is no simple bridge, at 540m long this 5 span structure has a central span of 175m, the deck is 20m wide and 40m above sea level, with the cable pylons extending 60m above sea level. This is the kind of defining project you'll be proud to showcase in your portfolio, and the achievement your grandkids will talk about a lot one day

This is the role for a passionate, experienced senior structures professional who thrives on leading challenging complex superstructure work and delivering an outstanding performance that shapes New Zealand infrastructure. As our Superstructure Lead, you'll take charge of the construction and management of all superstructure elements, steering the delivery of the long span bridge, reinforced concrete and post-tensioning. This is a critical leadership role for someone who lives and breathes structures-from design and temporary works through to safe and high-quality construction delivery.

In addition to the above, you will:

  • Lead a dedicated superstructure team and key subcontractors to achieve outstanding project outcomes.
  • Oversee construction management, including programme coordination, cost control, safety, and temporary works implementation.
  • Drive timely technical resolution, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and permanent works designers.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Proven hands-on experience delivering complex superstructure projects within civil infrastructure worth, including reinforced concrete, post-tensioning, and long span bridge works.
  • Strong team leadership, safety, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to design, manage, and deliver sophisticated temporary and permanent works methodologies.
  • Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
