The role | Te mahi

In this role, supporting students and staff at the University of Otago's Nelson Hub, you are the go-to person for a wide range of administration tasks—coordinating timetables and placements, supporting teaching sessions, handling correspondence, and managing confidential records with care. You are also a supportive presence for students, offering pastoral care when needed. Using University systems, you keep databases up to date, pull useful reports, and undertake a range of transactional finance tasks.

You will be the primary on-site administrator, but closely connected with our Christchurch team, who provide line management, ongoing remote support and collaboration.

Divisional Services and Administration (DSA) is a team of highly skilled professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional support to students and staff. This is a part time hours per week), permanent position based at Nelson Hospital. Ideally the hours will be worked over 4-5 days.

The appointment range for this role is Level 4 $63,508 to $68,185. Top of Range $73,640.
