Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Christchurch for a Food and Beverage Floor Coordinator - Banqueting. The professional in this role will oversee the coordinatoon and daily operations of the banquet service, ensuring events are executed seamlessly and in accordance with the highest standards. Responsibilities include supervising floor staff, coordinating with the kitchen team to ensure timely service, monitoring food safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service. The coordinator will also address attendee inquiries and support the enhancement of guest experiences at the venue.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively lead and work as part of a team
  • Proficiency in food and beverage service, including setting up and managing banquets and events
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Experience in food service operations and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • An understanding of event management and hospitality practices is beneficial
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Relevant qualifications in hospitality or a related field are advantageous
