Are you an experienced early
childhood education leader with a passion for inspiring others? Glenview Kindergarten
is seeking a dedicated and confident Head Teacher to lead our teaching team.

Glenview Kindergarten is nestled
in a quiet cul-de-sac with a spacious outdoor area surrounded by mature trees. Located
in the diverse suburb of Glenview, the kindergarten offers convenient access to
the airport, hospital and to central Hamilton.

About the Role

As Head Teacher, you will provide
strong professional and operational management of the kindergarten. You will be
responsible for managing enrolments and staffing, leading a collaborative teaching
team and nurturing strong relationships with tamariki and whaanau. Your ability
to model professional practice and to continue to build on the culture of
respect, responsiveness and reciprocity will be key to your success.

This is a permanent, full time, 40 hours per week position. Glenview Kindergarten operates on a 8:00am to 5:00pm roster.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience providing operational
    management and leadership within an early childhood setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the
    ability to build strong, respectful relationships across the kindergarten
    community.
  • Ability to collaborative positively in a
    team-focused environment.
  • Experience in supporting children's
    social and emotional competence.
  • Ability to work with whaanau to establish
    and maintain respectful, reciprocal, and responsive relationships.
  • Confidence in reflective practices and strong
    written documentation.
  • A commitment to professionalism and high-quality
    education.

You will be a fully registered and
certified Early Childhood Teacher with proven leadership experience and hold a current
First Aid certificate.
