About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a respected, established builder as a Senior Architectural Draftsperson. You'll play a key role in shaping the design of high-end custom homes and multi-unit developments, delivering both concept and working drawings and mentoring a growing drafting team. You'll work closely with clients, consultants and the construction team to ensure practical, high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead drafting and design for residential projects from concept to working drawings.
- Mentor and support drafting team members.
- Deliver detailed, accurate documentation and high-quality renders.
- Liaise confidently with clients, consultants, engineers and the construction team.
- Contribute creative and practical solutions for custom and spec projects.
- Ensure design quality, consistency and compliance with the NZ Building Code and local council requirements.
About You
- 8+ years' experience in residential drafting, ideally including high-end homes and multi-unit developments.
- Strong ArchiCAD skills required.
- Experience in both concept and working drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail, technical accuracy and documentation.
- Confident presenting design ideas to clients and interpreting design intent.
- LBP2 preferred or LBP1 with strong experience
- Collaborative, grounded and passionate about contributing to a supportive, high-performing team.
