Service: Community Nursing and Support Services
Contract: Permanent Part-time,
About the role
Our home support service provides assistance with household management, and support with medications and personal care for people living in need throughout the Wairarapa, including palliative care.
These positions would suit those who have an interest in working with the elderly or infirm and previous work experience in caring for others would be a distinct advantage.
About our team
You will be well supported by the team coordinator, administrative support team and the district nursing team, and will receive a good orientation. In addition, support for on-going training will be available to the successful candidate.
We have one permanent part time position available. Our staff receive a roster in advance although you may be contacted at short notice on occasions. The hours of work may include early mornings and early evenings generally between 7am to 7pm Monday through Sunday, including statutory holidays. There may also be the opportunity to work additional hours in this role.
About you
You relate well to all kinds of people- up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organization; you build appropriate rapport with people and effective relationships. You are dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of our Wairarapa patients.
Due to the nature of this role, we will require a full Police Check under the Vulnerable Children's Act.
This will involve you needing to disclose on your application if you have ever been charged with, or convicted of a criminal offence or been released from prison.
You will be required to work across the Wairarapa, therefore we do require applicants to have a full and valid NZ drivers' licence as well as be contactable via a mobile phone.
