New Year, New You
Position Available Starting Jan 19th 2026
Habitat works in partnership with community, health, and iwi organisations to carry out minor and major home repairs. We're seeking a full-time qualified builder to support the delivery of this and other construction work across our region.
This is a hands-on role that makes a real difference in our communities. You'll be coordinating equipment and materials, and carrying out building work - bathroom and kitchen renovations, fencing, guttering, decking, and more.
The role is based out of Te Rapa, with travel across the Waikato, Bay of Plenty, and further as required. Tools of the trade and a vehicle for work purposes will be provided.
We take our responsibility to protect children, vulnerable adults, and sensitive information very seriously. To uphold these standards, any offer of employment where there is likely unsupervised access to children, vulnerable adults, families, communities, or sensitive information will depend on the successful completion of a criminal record check, self declaration process and two reference checks. These checks help us confirm everyone representing Habitat for Humanity can be trusted to work safely and ethically.
What we're looking for:
Comfortable working in people's homes, and interacting with people of all walks of life
Capable working both independently and as a part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
