We are looking for a Site Engineer to join our Takitimu North Link Stage 1 project.
The Takitimu North Link Stage 1 project will provide a four lane inter-regional connection between the existing SH2 from near Loop Road, Te Puna in the west, to SH29 Takitimu Drive Toll Road in the east, and includes an on-ramp from Fifteenth Avenue to the SH29 Takitimu Drive Toll Road. The new 6.8km long four lane highway will bypass Te Puna and Bethlehem townships, improving the efficiency and safety of the strategic network, and will support growth in the Minden area.
This major infrastructure project, currently in construction, is a Road of National Significance and contributes to building a transport network that enables people and freight to move around efficiently, quickly, and safely. The project involves 3 million cubic metres of earthworks as well as the construction of 10 bridges, 19 culverts, 8 stream diversions and 7 wetlands.
Fulton Hogan is constructing the project in a joint venture with HEB Construction, continuing a long and successful partnership on large projects in the Bay of Plenty.
In addition to the above you will:
- Coordinating and overseeing daily site activities to ensure smooth progress of all works.
- Organising and developing construction methodologies and work programs to deliver the project on schedule and to specification.
- Identifying and solving engineering problems quickly and effectively.
- Managing procurement of materials and subcontractor services to meet project needs.
- Implementing quality control measures to maintain high standards throughout the project life-cycle.
- Championing Fulton Hogan's safety-first culture by promoting and enforcing safe work practices to protect the wellbeing of everyone on site.
