**Mo te tūranga | About the role**:
As a Senior Software Engineer at ASB, you'll work independently on the full software development lifecycle, from research and analysis to design, development, testing, and ongoing support.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Independently handle software analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance, adhering to ASB's established guidelines and best practices.
- Contribute to technology research and analysis to ensure methodologies remain at the forefront of the industry.
- Develop a sound understanding of business processes and how they relate to your software development activities.
- Provide input on the achievement of operational service level agreements and work to maintain continuous improvement in all aspects of your role.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with cross-functional teams within ASB Technology.
- Drive your personal development and seek out continuous learning opportunities to enhance both your technical skills and performance.

**Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?**
- Extensive experience with SDLC processes, including software development and testing.
- Hands-on experience with software engineering in a structured development environment and knowledge of build tools, test methodologies, and processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyse complex issues.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts, particularly in the fast-evolving digital landscape.
- A strong analytical thinker with the ability to resolve complex issues and find innovative solutions.
- A team player who enjoys working with others to achieve common goals and provide mutual support.
- Able to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple projects while ensuring high-quality outcomes.
