Tauranga City Bay of Plenty, New Zealand Cater Plus Services Full time

We have an opportunity for a passionate and motivated individual to join our team based at Tauranga City Council in Cameron Road, where we provide catering services to staff working on site and external functions, as well as our new public facing café in the Tauranga City Library, He Puna Manawa.

This is a casual position working as and when required to support the team and take the pressure off on those particularly busy days, or to cover staff on leave. Working hours, when needed, are likely to be weekdays somewhere between 7.30am and 1pm (but there is flexibility here).

What you’ll do:

- support the team with food prep and baking
- keep the kitchen clean and do dishes
- move and manage stock
- deliver catering to other locations nearby
- serve café style food to customers
- operate EFTPOS and POS machines with a smile

Who you are:

- self-motivated with a strong customer focus and a passion for food
- friendly and engaging, hard-working and flexible
- have experience in food preparation, and knowledge of food safety and hygiene
- utilise great communication skills and a can-do attitude
- hold a full and valid NZ drivers’ licence
