**About the Role**:
We have a fixed-term, full-time opportunity available in our Agri Team for a period of 10 months to cover parental leave, starting in early August.

We're seeking a motivated, customer-focused agri-professional to support the Coastal/South Taranaki area. The office location is flexible.

Our Agri Managers are trained and trusted advisors helping farmers get the most from their soil, pasture, crops and animals while assisting them to transition towards environmentally sustainable practices. Also helping to reduce their environmental impacts and optimise value from the land through the provision of nutrient advice, services and products.

As a key link to our farmers, you'll have an important part to play in the success of their business; serving up the products, support and innovative solutions our farmers have come to rely on us for.

Of course, this means the bulk of your time will be spent on farm, identifying farmers' needs, selling tailored solutions, and strengthening relationships based on trust, credibility and mutual respect.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan and implement a programme for visiting current and prospective customers, assessing their requirements and advising them on the most appropriate products and services, thus achieving sales targets.
- Utilise the available technology to give maximum benefit to Ravensdown shareholders in terms of profitability and environmental leadership.
- Create a plan to reduce their environmental impacts and optimise value from the land.
- Ensure that end users' needs, and expectations are met through the continuous development of abilities and knowledge.

**About You**:
While helping farmers increase their profitability is a key focus of this role, you're set for some impressive growth of your own. Because in terms of growing your career, there's no better way to get more from your agronomic qualification and/or your existing industry experience. Not to mention your knowledge of soil fertility and farming systems. And since you enjoy a good yarn, we reckon the social, down-to-earth camaraderie that comes with this job will be right up your alley.

**Ideal Skills & Experience**:

- A can-do attitude
- Sound knowledge of farms systems
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- Understanding of changing landscape of New Zealand environmental policy and its implications for farmers
- Tech savvy with knowledge of agricultural technology systems
- Ideally a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related qualification

**Benefits**:

- Company car, phone, laptop and clothing provided
- Competitive salary
- Excellent development opportunities across the co-operative
- Great company culture

**How to Apply**:
Click on the 'Apply' button to create a profile and submit your CV and Cover Letter.
- Ravensdown is committed to a drug and alcohol-free workplace. The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug test._
