**The Opportunity**
This family owned and operated
**Charter and Tours**business requires a
**Bus Driver/Tour Guide** to join their team, based in
**Christchurch**.

**What you'll be doing**:
As
**Bus Driver/Tour**
**Guide**you will safety transport passengers by coach to and from destinations in the
**South Island, **providinga full commentary of the tour along the way.
- Duties of this role include:_
- Reading manifest or travel itinerary and planning the trip accordingly
- Assisting in positioning coaches and buses for cleaning and maintenance
- Providing basic daily inspections and maintenance on the vehicle such as: checking and replenishing oil, water, and fuel checking tyre p checking RUC, registration and certificate of fitness compliance
- Advising the operations manager of any maintenance defects, and non compliances
- Cleaning the bus interior and exterior at the end of each work day
- Adding bookings, checking passengers on and off the bus within the booking system
- Loading and unloading passenger luggage, freight and bicycles in hold areas
- Taking cash fares from passengers for secure keep
- Maintain work time log book, handover to Operations Manager at the end of the day for reconciliation against the booking system

**Skills & Experience**:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Good knowledge of vehicle management
- Time management skills with ability work to a timetable
- Sufficient mechanical knowledge to maintain vehicle
- Ability to assist with lifting of luggage and freight
- **Current relevant Drivers Licence**:

- **The right to permanently live & work in New Zealand**
