Enrolled Nurses

Presbyterian Support Southland (PSS) is a Charitable Trust and is the largest social service and aged care provider in Southland. PSS encompasses two service arms - Family Works, which offers a range of social services, from counselling and social work support, through to buddy and parenting programmes, and Enliven, which provides a range of services for our elderly. We work to enable a positive and lasting change for everyone in our community and offer support services to people regardless of their beliefs, ethnicity or background.
**About the Role**:
Vickery Court is situated on North Road and offers a range of services for the elderly within our community including residential, hospital and respite care.
We currently have permanent part time Enrolled Nurse positions (32 hours per week) available to join the team at Vickery Court.
New or recently graduated Enrolled Nurses with an interest in aged care will be considered.
**What you will need to be successful**:

- Hold a NZ Diploma in Enrolled Nursing
- Hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Previous experience working with elderly patients preferred
- Able to work effectively as part of a team
**Key responsibilities**:

- Provide a positive environment focused on our resident’s wellbeing
- Assisting residents with daily living activities such as nutrition, hydration, mobility and personal hygiene
- Undertaking observations, reporting and documentation of health status
- Assisting with routine examinations and routine diagnostic tests
- Using knowledge of the healing process to maintain skin integrity
- Effectively communicating with residents, residents families and colleagues
- Ability to lead a team as and when required
