**About the Role**
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager with a background in administration to join us as the Administration Manager for community and rural health services across the Waikato district. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team to collaborate with the senior leadership team to provide exceptional administrative services across Thames, Tokoroa, Taumarunui and Te Kuiti hospitals and the associated community based services.
This is an exciting and challenging career opportunity, where you will:
- Collaborate closely with operations and clinical managers to provide positive and effective support, forging strong cnnections and fostering an environment of teamwork.
- Ensure robust processes are in place for our administration team to provide outstanding administration support to both our clinical teams, and our patients.
- Directly manage the administration teams working in busy hospital and community based environments, ensuring effective and efficient rostering.
- Oversee recruitment
- Coordinate staff training and regular team meetings
**About the Team/Service/ Location**
Community & Southern Rural Health (including Hamilton & Rural administration) covers the community nursing teams operating from Gallagher Drive and the surrounding rural bases. The rural hospitals are located in Thames, Tokoroa, Te Kuiti and Taumarunui.
**About you**

- Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
- 5 - 7 years experience leading and managing teams of staff in a large complex environtment (health background would be ideal)
- Experience with providing administrative and business support functions and working with people from all backgrounds and health disciplines
- Experience and genuine interest in managing successful teams
- Highly developed communication and interperson skills including the capacity to negotiate, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others
- Experience working with budgets
- Some background in leading change management is desirable
