Complementary Wellness Therapist

Full Time Flexible Hours

We are looking for one or more full time Complementary Wellness Therapists to provide a range of complementary health services at our wellness centre. You must have EITHER a relevant Bachelor level qualification, OR five years’ of relevant work experience in the following areas:

- Therapeutic massage and/or
- Acupuncture and/or
- Aromatherapy

You will be responsible for the following main duties
- Schedule bookings, meet and greet clients, complete intake forms
- Note client information, health history and current health conditions
- Assess clients to determine their requirements and develop and implement therapeutic approaches
- Keep documentation and maintain client record notes, conditions, health history and progress
- Set up rooms for treatment
- Provide a range of therapeutic services according to ability and qualifications. This could include combinations of therapeutic, deep tissue, sports or relaxation massage, treatments suitable for pregnancy, fascia release, cupping, acupuncture, moxibustion, aromatherapy etc to heal and release muscles, tendons and ligaments and provide other wellness benefits
- Provide other treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation, relieve muscle tension and improve wellbeing
- Undergo training and continuing education to upskill and expand range of services
- Provide guidance on stretching, posture, muscle strength, treatment followups and overall mental and physical health tips
- Maintain an overall clean working environment in all rooms and outside and maintain equipment and supplies
- Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
- Attend and participate in team meetings, huddles and staff training
- Hold and Maintain any required licenses or qualifications according to the therapy streams
- Hourly Rate: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour for a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week
- The clinic is open 7 days per week, and additional hours may be available as agreed from time to time for the same hourly rate. Weekly hours will not normally exceed 40 hours per week and all hours worked will be paid.
- You must have a valid work visa or be able to obtain one if you are not a New Zealand Citizen/Resident.

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
