We are on the lookout for reliable and physically fit casual team members to join our team at Timaru Port.

If you are hands on, safety focused and enjoy working outside this could be the job for you.

**About this Role**:
As a Container Lasher you’ll be part of a team responsible for the safe loading and unloading of cargo from ships on the Timaru Container Terminal.

This could include:

- Lashing and unlashing containers.
- Removing and inserting twist locks into containers.
- Both nightshift (usually 7pm-7am) and dayshift required.

**Requirements for the Role**

- A reasonable level of fitness - most days will be spent on your feet
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions
- Comfortable working at heights
- Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Full car license preferred but not essential
- A high level of Health and Safety Awareness.
- Previous experience not necessary
